Edgecomb Eddy Students had a visit from Mad Scientist Jupiter Jo on April 29. The students learned about chemical reactions, how a solid changes to a liquid, and about combustion. Mad Science of Maine is located in Portland. It is part of a worldwide organization sparking imaginative learning in young students, according to its website.
Jupiter Jo is one of more than a dozen Maine instructors who provide an entertaining lesson with various science experiments. She conducted a 55-minute lesson for the Edgecomb Eddy students in the school gymnasium.
