The Bristol Road Galleries, Damariscotta, open for the 2016 summer season on Saturday, June 25.

The Bristol Road Galleries is a collaboration of four artists: sculptor Marnie Sinclair, watercolorists Jan Kilburn and Kathleen Horst, and oil painter Will Kefauver. This their third season, and there are several special events planned this year, making for a busy and exciting summer.

This year the Bristol Road Galleries invites you to a Garden Party on Saturday, July 30 at the Kefauver Studio & Gallery, 144 Bristol Road. All four artists of the Bristol Road Galleries will be painting in the gardens, en plein air, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Come watch the artists at work, and stroll in the lovely gardens. All art produced that day will be for sale at 4 p.m., and all will be priced at $100. Additional work by the four artists will be on display in the Kefauver gallery as well at each artist’s gallery on the Bristol Road. Light refreshments will be offered. The rain date is Sunday, July 31.

The Bristol Road Galleries will present another edition of the popular “Guests on the Lawn” on August 20-21. Each gallery will host several guest artists, who will show their work and offer demonstrations of their craft in tents on the lawns and in the galleries of the Bristol Road artists. Watch for details on the “Garden Party,” the “Guests on the Lawn,” event, as well as other events, in the coming weeks.

The Opening Reception will take place June 25 from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Kathleen Horst Studio & Gallery (179 Bristol Road), the Jan Kilburn Gallery (168 Bristol Road), the Sinclair Gallery (172 Bristol Road), and the Kefauver Studio & Gallery (144 Bristol Road).
