Hyde School in Bath, Maine is pleased to announce that Edgecomb resident Sarah Clifford has taken the position of chief financial officer at the school.

Sarah has been with Hyde School since June 2015. Most recently, she was assistant controller/director of compliance at Bowdoin College in Brunswick. Sarah is a certified public accountant and spent five years in public accounting prior to her time at Bowdoin. She began her financial career at the First National Bank of Damariscotta as accounting manager.

Of her new position, Sarah said, “I think this a great time to be joining the Hyde team. In June, we celebrated our 50th year in operation. A huge number of Hyde alumni came to Bath to commemorate this milestone. The energy and excitement I witnessed is hard to describe, it definitely highlighted the commitment our faculty and staff have for the students here. Looking forward to being a part of Hyde’s next generation of students, and am committed to bringing my best self to this new role!”

Sarah lives in Edgecomb with her husband Bill and their three children. She serves on the Edgecomb School Committee, and recently served as director and treasurer of the Boothbay Region Student Aid Fund.
