Rep. Devin returns to Marine Resources Committee
Rep. Mick Devin, D-Newcastle, has been appointed to serve on the Legislature’s Marine Resources Committee for a third time.
The committee oversees policy relating to the Department of Marine Resources, commercial marine fisheries management, licensing and enforcement, aquaculture and the processing and sale of marine fish and shellfish.
“As a marine biologist and a representative of many coastal communities in Lincoln County, I want to make sure harvesters will get the chance to earn a good living off the water for generations to come,” said Devin. “Thousands of people depend on the marine environment – directly and indirectly – for work, and it’s important we don’t let them down.”
Devin is serving his third term in the Maine House and represents Bremen, Bristol, Damariscotta, Newcastle, part of Nobleboro, part of South Bristol, Monhegan Plantation and the unorganized territory of Louds Island.
