The Lincoln County Regional Planning Commission (LCRPC) will hold a two-hour workshop on starting a small business on Tuesday, Jan. 24 from 8 to 10 a.m. at the LCRPC office, 297 Bath Road, Wiscasset.

Participants will hear from Bill Card, economic development specialist for the U.S. Small Business Administration; David Hill, certified small business development center counselor; and Jaimie Logan, governor's account executive with the Maine Department of Economic and Community Development.

They will walk participants through the keys to successful business start up and management, focusing on the business plan: What is it? Why do you need one? What can it do for you?
