Learn the skills and techniques necessary to be a responsible, competent and fun babysitter in a one-day class offered by Central Lincoln County Adult Education on Wednesday, June 28.

This course, designed for students ages 11-14, will cover such topics as: child care essentials, the proper response and handling of emergency situations, behavior management, safety for the sitter, and babysitting as a business. Students should bring a lunch and a snack. However, they should not bring any electronics or phones. A certificate is issued upon successful completion of the course.

The class will be held at LincolnHealth Education Center at 66 Chapman Street, in Damariscotta from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The cost is $44 for online registrations using promo code EARLYBIRD received by June 21 and $49 for all other registrations. Space is limited.
