Wiscasset Elementary School students in Mrs. Hallowell’s and Ms. Molloy’s kindergarten classes, as well as Ms. Brown’s first grade class recently had the opportunity to meet author Dana Browne and be read her book, "Marley’s Gnarliest Hair-Day." Dana’s daughter Pearl was also in attendance, as the book was inspired by her hair and daily brushing struggles.

After reading to the classes, Dana and Pearl stayed to visit with students during their library classes, and discussed writing and illustrating books.
