“Florence Foster Jenkins” (PG13) In the 1940s, New York socialite Florence Foster Jenkins (Meryl Streep) dreams of becoming a great opera singer. Unfortunately, her ambition far exceeds her talent. The voice Florence hears in her head is beautiful, but to everyone else it is quite lousy. Her husband St. Clair (Hugh Grant) goes to extreme lengths to make sure his wife never finds out how awful she truly is. When Florence announces her plans for a concert at Carnegie Hall, St. Clair soon realizes that he's facing his greatest challenge yet.
Also stars Simon Helberg, Rebecca Ferguson and Nina Arianda. Screening Wednesday, Sept. 14 through Sept. 22 at 7 p.m. with a 2 p.m. matinee on Sunday, Sept. 18.

“Indignation” (Rated R) Based on Philip Roth's late novel, Indignation takes place in 1951, as Marcus Messner (Logan Lerman), a brilliant working class Jewish boy from Newark, New Jersey, travels on scholarship to a small, conservative college in Ohio, thus exempting him from being drafted into the Korean War. But once there, Marcus's growing infatuation with his beautiful classmate Olivia Hutton (Sarah Gadon), and his clashes with the college's imposing Dean, Hawes Caudwell (Tracy Letts), put his and his family's best laid plans to the ultimate test. Playing at 2 and 7 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 16, Saturday, Sept. 17 and Wednesday, Sept. 21; on Sunday, Sept. 18 at 7 p.m. only.
“A View from the Bridge” NT Live Encore. The fall season of broadcasts from the National Theatre in London kicks off with an encore of Arthur Miller’s classic in this award-winning production that won accolades in the West End and on Broadway - including a Tony Award for Best Lead Actor in a Play for Mark Strong. Miller confronts the American dream in this dark and passionate tale. In Brooklyn, longshoreman Eddie Carbone welcomes his Sicilian cousins to the land of freedom. But when one of them falls for his beautiful niece, they discover that freedom comes at a price. Playing Sunday, Sept. 18 at 2 p.m.
“The Threepenny Opera” NT Live. Mack the Knife is back in town. A darkly comic new take on Brecht and Weill’s raucous musical broadcast live from the stage of the National Theatre. London scrubs up for the coronation. The thieves are on the make, the whores on the pull, the police cutting deals to keep it all out of sight. Mr and Mrs Peachum are looking forward to a bumper day in the beggary business, but their daughter didn’t come home last night and it’s all about to kick off… Note that the production is suitable for youth 15 and older due to scenes of a sexual nature, violence and language. Playing Thursday, Sept. 21 live at 2 p.m. and rebroadcast at 7 p.m.
