Skidompha Secondhand Book Shop is offering “Big Book Bargains” from now through Thursday, July 4 (the shop will be open on the holiday).

The “Big Books” are coffee tables books. “Big Book Bargains” means that each book is on sale for $2.

Coffee table books are large books with colorful photos and illustrations, about people, places, and all sorts of things, and the shop currently has an extensive collection of these beautiful books.

The book shop, located at 17 Backstreet Landing in downtown Damariscotta, is open every day from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Besides thousands of hard-cover and paperback books in dozens of categories for adults and children, the shop offers movies on DVDs; music CDs and records; games and puzzles; and gift certificates. All items are donated, all staff members are volunteers, and proceeds support the programs and collections of Skidompha Public Library. Donations are accepted whenever the shop is open.
