Mavis Staples, of the famed Staple Family, is a powerful singer of gospel, blues, rock and soul. She is a longtime political activist. Staples is the opening act - and will perform with Dylan during the concert.
Bob Dylan is truly a legend, an icon, one of the most influential songwriters of our time. Dylan has been writing, singing, playing guitar and harp for over 50 years. His lyrics changed songwriting forever. Powerful. Astute. Mysterious. Most Baby Boomers would list him on their Best Musical Artist Top 10 list.
Dylan won a Grammy Award in February for Best Historical Album, “The Basement Tapes Complete: The Bootleg Series, Vol. 11.”
The Thompson's Point box office will be open one hour before doors on night of show. Thompson’s Point has limited on-site parking available within walking and biking distance from downtown Portland.
If you miss out on tickets for this show, Dylan’s 2016 summer tour will also be in New Hampshire, Connecticut and Massachusetts. Check out the schedule at http://bobdylan.com.
