Chase away the January blues with “Studio” Two on Jan. 28 at The Waldo Theatre
Lincoln County Television invites the community to attend the Sunday, Jan. 28 2 p.m. full-concert experience of “Studio Two - The Early Beatles Tribute Band” at The Waldo Theatre in Waldoboro.
Studio Two is a headlining Beatles tribute band, featuring Berklee College of Music Alums who focus on the most exciting, energetic period of The Beatles -- the rock-and-roll early years (1962 - 1966). Choosing from a catalog of number one hit songs from their club and touring performances, Studio Two captures all of the excitement and danceable 50s and 60s Rock 'n' Roll songs The Beatles helped popularize. All of this is done in period correct attire and equipment and was "Voted the BEST Beatles tribute band in New England" by The Boston Globe.
"This is the first time we're playing at The Waldo and we love the excitement of playing in a new house,” said Stephen Murray who performs as John Lennon. “Our audience can expect to hear the Beatles’ early rock-and-roll era hits on period instruments and equipment, and banter by four guys in suits named John, Paul, George and Ringo.”
“We’re excited for the third show in our LCTV Classic Concert Series to get folks together and raise needed funds to keep LCTV going,” said Larry Sidelinger, LCTV executive director. “Our community loves coming out for live music, and we’re incredibly grateful to them for supporting the best community media station in Maine.”
The show is a fundraiser for Lincoln County Television, a local, non-profit, homegrown resource for news, sports, entertainment, and essential updates. In 2023, LCTV produced 481 original shows, events, specials, games, and community updates on LCTV.org, local channel 7, YouTube, and streaming services.
