Cooking class: ‘Say Cheese, Please!’
Those with a sweet tooth can have their cake and cheese it, too, in the upcoming one-night Central Lincoln County Adult Education course, “Say Cheese, Please!”
The class will be held on Thursday, Feb. 15 from 5:30 to 8 p.m. at Nobleboro Central School.
Come and learn to make a basic New York-style cheesecake from scratch, and three additional variations—amaretto, holiday peppermint and Oreo. It is easier than most people think! Students will want to bring a container for leftovers, just in case, and will take home copies of all recipes.
Instructor Sharon Sperry is a retired head of international schools who has had a passion for cooking her entire life. She has cooked for ambassadors, kings and, of course, children and their teachers. She is thrilled to share her enthusiasm for good food enjoyed with family and friends. The course fee is $39.
To register, call CLC Adult Education at 563-2811, email clcae@aos93.org, visit clc.maineadulted.org or stop by the office in Pine Grove Plaza at the intersection of Route 1 and Business Route 1 in Damariscotta.
