CTL adopts five-year strategic plan
The Center for Teaching and Learning in Edgecomb recently adopted a five-year Strategic Plan that will help guide decision-making and strengthen the school for today and for the future.
The school’s plan focuses on deepening the understanding of the school’s mission, particularly in its commitment to providing an outstanding educational experience for as diverse a set of mid-coast Maine students as possible. Many people do not realize that one in three CTL students qualifies for free or reduced lunch and 70% of CTL’s students benefit from some type of tuition assistance. CTL is a school for all local kids, and the school uses support from grants and generous individual donations to fund the students’ education.
Key facets of the plan include increased scholarship for students in need, community partnerships and outreach, alumni engagement, deepening diversity awareness, continuing development of programs for visiting teachers, and after-school and summer opportunities.
This year is CTL’s 30th helping mid-coast students learn with curiosity and joy. As the school embarks on fulfilling this strategic vision and plans for the next thirty years, it’s holding an appeal to raise funds for student scholarships. If you are interested in learning more about CTL’s Strategic Plan, scholarship opportunities, or how you can contribute to helping mid-coast students get an outstanding education, visit c-t-l.org or call the school at 882-9706.
