CTL art students welcome Walt Disney Imagineers
This January, third and fourth-graders at Center for Teaching and Learning enjoyed a live virtual session with Sariya Singsanong and Kevin Nishikawa from the Walt Disney Imagineering program. This was a culminating experience for students' Paper Parks art project, which started with Disney's "Imagineering in a Box" lessons.
Students engaged in group brainstorming, decided on the theme of Four Seasons, and then individually planned their own creative structures. The final projects represented a bounty of critical thinking, explorations of engineering and architecture, and playful creativity! A live visit with the Imagineers was a special experience that allowed students to celebrate their accomplishments and connect their learning experiences to professional artists around the world!
