CTL hires new office manager
The Center for Teaching and Learning is happy to announce that Louise Monroe has been hired as the new office anager. A native of Boothbay, Monroe has a deep fondness for the community and is passionate about the success of Maine’s youth.
Monroe earned her bachelor of arts in English and communication, graduating cum laude from the Commonwealth Honors College after completing a year-long thesis rooted in critical literary analysis. She then stayed on at the University of Massachusetts Amherst to earn a master of science in business and analytics.
Monroe most recently worked as an administrative assistant for the Boothbay Region Land Trust. At BRLT, she took on administrative responsibilities and offered support to team members and the organization. Monroe also worked in the hospitality industry for many years, including local businesses such as Kaler’s Restaurant. The combination of customer service experience and administrative knowledge made her the perfect fit for CTL’s office manager.
Monroe has always enjoyed attending school and learning as a whole. She is excited to join the CTL community and have the opportunity to take on a new role at a school as a staff member.
CTL is delighted to welcome Monroe to the team. The hiring committee was impressed by her positive attitude, academic preparation, practical knowledge, and organization. Monroe is positioned to help CTL advance the school’s interests and develop deeper connections with both current families and alumni.
