Wiscasset Middle High School's new assistant principal and athletic director Vicki Decker of Lyman has resigned, School Committee Chairman Michael Dunn confirmed.

In text replies to the Wiscasset Newspaper Saturday, Dunn wrote: "She ended up having some personal things come up and was unable to commit to the job. We have already refilled the position." Word on the new hire will be coming soon, he wrote.

Decker's hire was announced at the committee's Aug. 14 meeting.
