Eugena “Gina” Minde, 69, Boothbay Harbor, died Nov. 6, 2016 after a long illness.  

Gina was born in Boothbay Harbor on February 26, 1947 to Marilyn and Eugene Williams.

She graduated from Boothbay Region High School in 1967

After marrying her husband, Birger,  on Oct. 12, 1976, they lived in Bergen, Norway for seven years. They returned to Boothbay Harbor on June 28, 1984. She worked for Al Sherman for many years as a seamstress. She enjoyed reading, cooking, sewing, music and politics. She was an exceptionally talented knitter and created beautiful Scandinavian-style sweaters, hats and scarves.

Gina was predeceased by her parents.

She is survived by her husband, Birger Minde of Boothbay Harbor; son, Peter Emerson Williams; daughter, Debra Whittier of Camden; grandson, Michael Whittier of Camden; sister Cheryl Rice of Boothbay Harbor; nieces Suzanne Rice (Patrick) Wallner of Scarborough and Mary Rice (Randy) Macomber of Portland; nephew, Bill (Susan) Rice of Old Orchard Beach; and several other nieces and nephews.

Per the wishes of the family, there will not be any services.
