727 Ocean Sunset is delighted to welcome international Irish singer, Gabriel Donohue for a special, and free, one-night regional performance on Saturday, July 6 from 4 to 7 p.m. 

 

Gabriel is an absolute treat to listen to with a repertoire of over 3,000 songs, he can quickly switch from an Irish ballad, to Broadway, to a great rendition of some of Johnny Cash most beloved tunes!  Gabriel is a gifted and talented  musician performs mostly performs on guitar and piano but ventures out to play on mandolin as well as exotic percussion.  He performs throughout the Unites States, the UK, the Middle East and Europe both solo or with a cadre of top flight musicians.  He recently came off tour with the international women’s Irish Celtic Group, Cherish the Ladies. Gabriel has recorded with the Boston Pops and spent three years on the road touring with the Grammy Award winning, Chieftain's.   

 

Gabriel has appeared on the “Tonight Show with Jay Leno,” the “CBS Morning Show,” the NBC “Today Show,” “Charlie Rose” and “Conan O’Brien.” He performed with Michael Flatley at the National Heritage Awards in Washington, D.C. and with Eileen Ivers at the White House during the Clinton Administration.  

 

Gabriel enjoys working with new talent and often gets involved in projects with emerging artists. He also teaches songwriting in classroom settings and records the finished songs so students have the opportunity to see the process from conception to completion as well as produces and engineers albums for a broad array of artists at Cove Island Productions in center city Philadelphia.
