Liberian human rights activist, refugee and local doctor present truth on Ebola
Torli Krua, a Liberian pastor from Boston and human rights activist, will speak at Boothbay Harbor Memorial Library on Saturday, Nov. 8 at 2 p.m. Torli will share factual information on what is happening in Liberia and nationally to fight Ebola.
Dr. Daniel Bates, an attending physician at LincolnHealth Hospital, will present an educational talk on Ebola followed by a question and answer session.
Joining Torli and Bates is Alfreda Barr and her young daughter, Pearl, who have been stranded in America, unable to return to Liberia due to the Ebola epidemic.
Torli has been offering assistance through his local church in Boston and appealing to the Obama administration for temporary protected status to her and other Liberian refugees.
These three voices will present the humanity, compassion and truth on Ebola. What has really happened, what you should know and how you can help.
Torli and Alfreda will also be speaking at Boothbay Baptist Church Sunday at 9 a.m.
