Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office: 1 arrest
The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office responded to 235 calls for service for the period of Feb. 20 to Feb. 27. Year to date, LCSO has responded to 1,786 calls for service.
Summonses
Lake Phillips, 28, of Waldoboro was issued a summons Feb. 20 for Unlawful Sexual Touching, in Whitefield, by Detective Ryan Chubbuck.
Albert T. Peaslee Jr., 40, of Dresden was issued summonses Feb. 22 for Tampering with Witness, Informant, Juror or Victim; Violating Condition of Release and Violation of a Protection Order, at Two Bridges Regional Jail, Wiscasset, by Detective Ryan Chubbuck.
George T. Swope, 42, of Southport Island was issued a summons Feb. 23 for Failing to Make Oral or Written Accident Report, on Cross Road, Southport Island, by Sgt. Scott Hayden.
Ashley N. Orne, 37, of Newcastle was issued a summons Feb. 24 for Operating while License is Suspended or Revoked, on US Route 1, Damariscotta, by Deputy Samuel Alexander.
Arrest
Melissa M. Stratton, 44, of Jefferson was arrested Feb. 26 on a Kennebec County warrant for Failure to Appear on an Assault charge, on Jefferson Road, Whitefield, by Sgt. Scott Hayden.
Accidents
On Feb. 20, an accident occurred on Bremen Road in Nobleboro involving Caleb R. Moody, 18, of Waldoboro. Mr. Moody was operating his 2002 Chrysler PT Cruiser southbound in excess of the speed limit. As a result, he lost control, went off the road on the right side, and rolled over. Deputy Caleb Poirier was the investigating officer.
On Feb. 24, an accident occurred on US Route 1 in Nobleboro involving Matthew M. Sturtevant, 42, of Nobleboro and Elesha M. Lee, 48, of Union. Mr. Sturtevant was operating a 2006 Ford pumper fire truck westbound, headed to a training. A sign that was strapped to the top of his vehicle came loose, fell from his truck, and struck the driver’s side of Lee’s 2020 Chevrolet Colorado, who was traveling eastbound on Route 1. Sgt. Scott Hayden was the investigating officer.
On Feb. 24, an accident occurred on River Road in Boothbay involving Richard C. Annino, 83, of Edgecomb. Mr. Annino was operating his 2017 Subaru CrossFit southbound on River Road when a deer came from the left and struck the front driver’s quarter panel and door of his vehicle. Deputy Jeffrey Rogers was the investigating officer.
