Deputy Owen Beattie was the investigating officer.
On Feb. 1, an accident occurred on Pittston Road in Whitefield involving Kaleb S. Bishop, 16, of Whitefield. Mr. Bishop was operating his 2002 Toyota Tacoma eastbound when he lost control and slid, while traversing a bend in the road. The loss of traction appeared to be due to rapidly cooling weather causing black ice and excessive speed for the icy conditions. As a result, his vehicle left the roadway on the left, going into a ditch and rolling onto the driver’s side, where it came to rest. Deputy Nathaniel Aronson was the investigating officer.
