Lincoln County Sheriff's Office: 5 arrests
The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office responded to 187 calls for service for the period of April 8 to April 15. Year to date, LCSO has responded to 4,008 calls for service.
Summonses
Darin W. Clement, II, 30, of Princeton was issued a summons April 10 for Violating Condition of Release, on Route 1, Newcastle, by Deputy Jerold Winslow.
Hunter J. Tompson, 27, of Alna was issued a summons April 10 for Allowing Dog to be at Large, on Alna Road, Alna, by Animal Control Officer Allen Oliver.
Anthony S. Bosworth, 34, of Waldoboro was issued summonses April 12 for Operating after License Suspension and Operating with a Defective Ignition Interlock Device, on Depot Street, Waldoboro, by Deputy Jerold Winslow.
Arrests
Joshua D. Benner, 36, of Newcastle was arrested April 8 on a Rockland District Court warrant for Failure to Appear on a Contempt Hearing, at Two Bridges Regional Jail, Wiscasset, by Deputy Caleb Poirier.
Abraham J. Ober, 51, of Whitefield was arrested April 9 a Kennebec County warrant for Failure to Appear for an Assault charge, on Philbrick Lane, Whitefield, by Detective Matthew Ryan, who was assisted by Lt. Brendan Kane.
Virgil W. Cameron-Cray, Jr., 33, of Waldoboro was arrested April 11 on a Knox County warrant for Unlawful Possession of Scheduled Drugs, on Depot Street, Waldoboro, by Deputy Samuel Alexander.
Alan T. Thornton, Jr., 51, of Whitefield was arrested April 12 for Violation of a Protective Order, on Penny Lane, Whitefield, by Deputy Nathan Yeaton.
Corey A. Frizzell, 45, of Boothbay turned himself in to the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office, Wiscasset, April 14 on six active arrest warrants from multiple agencies. Mr. Frizzell was arrested by Sgt. Kevin Dennison and transported to Two Bridges Regional Jail without incident.
Accidents
On April 9, an accident occurred on Doyle Road in Whitefield involving Shawn M. Merrill, 39, of Waterville. Mr. Merrill was operating his 2014 Audi A4 southbound when he stated he looked at his GPS, which caused him to drive off the roadway on the right. As a result, he struck a tree with the right front fender and rolled over into the road on the right side, facing south. Sgt. Ronald Rollins was the investigating officer.
On April 10, an accident occurred on Route 1 in Newcastle involving James W. Parlin, 40, of Walpole and Caroline Matthews, 18, of St. George. Mr. Parlin was slowing to yield to traffic on Route 1 before entering Route 1 from the on ramp in his 2021 Chevrolet Tahoe. Ms. Matthews was operating her 2013 Jeep Patriot behind Parlin’s vehicle when she looked away from the road to see the traffic travelling south, and did not see Mr. Parlin slowed down in from of her and struck his vehicle, due to not looking ahead. Deputy Ethan Burns was the investigating officer.
On April 12, an accident occurred on State Route 32 in Bristol involving Lauri R. Pulsifer, 45, of Round Pond. Ms. Pulsifer was operating her 2019 Volvo XC90 southbound when she struck a deer, which had entered the roadway from the southbound ditch. Sgt. Kevin Dennison was the investigating officer.
