Lloyd E. Butterfuss
Lloyd E. Butterfuss of Westport Island, Maine, died of complications from cancer at the age 62 on Feb. 20, 2017.
Lloyd was born September 1, 1954 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
He had proudly served as a parachute rigger in the United States Navy until he was medically retired in Brunswick, Maine, then continued on into a career with Bath Iron Works. There, after 25 years, he retired as a designer for BIW on Jan 31, 2006.
He was predeceased by his parents, Clem and Kathleen Butterfuss, as well as his older brother, Leslie Butterfuss.
He is survived by his sister Lisa and his brother Lance Butterfuss.
Lloyd was a true friend, brother, loved by many and enjoyed life to the fullest. For those who knew him well, you may not have always liked what he had to say, but you always knew where he stood.
In lieu of flowers the family wishes that donations in the name of Lloyd E. Butterfuss be made to the American Cancer Society.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Direct Cremation of Maine, 182 Waldo Ave., Belfast, ME 04915.
