Pair indicted for Two Bridges damage
A pair of Two Bridges Regional Jail inmates have been charged by the Lincoln County Grand Jury after the pair reportedly damaged a sprinkler system.
Brandon Knowles, 24, of Orono, and Joshua Boyd, 20, of Bath, were both charged with aggravated criminal mischief after an April incident at Two Bridges.
At approximately 6 p.m. April 1, Knowles allegedly destroyed the sprinkler head in his cell and tried to coax another prisoner to damage his sprinkler head.
After the other prisoner refused to damage his sprinkler, Boyd and Knowles reportedly threatened him and called him names.
According to the arrest report, Boyd began slamming broom and mop handles against the windows before guards entered the area.
Boyd reportedly attacked two of the guards by punching them in the head and wouldn't submit until after being Tasered.
For the incident, Boyd has been charged with aggravated criminal mischief, a Class C crime, for damaging the sprinkler system, one count of resisting arrest, a Class D crime, and two charges of assaulting an officer, both Class C crimes.
Boyd was in jail following a December 4 arrest for aggravated assault, a Class B crime, and violating the conditions of release, a Class E crime.
Boyd was indicted for all six charges by the Lincoln County Grand Jury. The Grand Jury indicted Knowles with aggravated criminal mischief, a Class C crime.
Class C crimes are punishable by up to five years imprisonment and or a $5,000 fine.
