Photographer Helga Cotta shows at AMC Motorcar
Green foliage is unfolding and warmer breezes are blowing across the state. The sunshine is stronger and the outdoors beckons the locals to take a walk or plant a garden. Starting in June through the end of August, Atlantic Motorcar welcomes the art of Helga Cotta to the walls. Her photography reflects an affinity and keen eye for the natural surroundings of Maine.
Since moving to Maine in 1977, Helga has been able to combine her hobby of photography with a love for the outdoors and wildlife. Through her work she hopes to invoke the stillness and peace of natural surroundings. She views photography as a tool to catch wonders that she would like to share with others.
Black and white and color photographs are included in the exhibit at AMC.
Her work has been displayed at various venues; Jorgenson Café, Central Maine Café, both in Waterville and the Windsor Fair in Windsor. In addition, she has shown her photographs at the Maine Sportsman Show in 2017 and 2018 where she received the “Best of Show” and “First Place” awards.
AMC offers art space for artists creating with watercolor, print, acrylic, mixed media and/or print mediums. No commission or hanging fee is charged; the space is donated as a service and enrichment to the local art community and the community at large.
AMC Motorcar, at 10 Oxhorn Road in Wiscasset, invites you to browse this art collection during business hours: Monday through Friday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday 9 a.m. to -1 p.m.
