Bands for Books is returning to Wiscasset on Labor Day, Sept. 6 at Seafield Farm this year. The major fundraiser for Friends of Wiscasset Library, this event is also a way for the library and community to interact. Friends maintains the $20 ticket price despite inflation raising the cost of everything else, in the belief that this party/fundraiser should be affordable for all those who want to support the library.

There will be a free raffle prize of dinner for two at a fine restaurant.

This year, Friends would really like to highlight both loyal merchants who have supported us in the past, and new businesses struggling to get established after an extremely hard year. Friends encourages all who attend Bands for Books to note and patronize the many participating businesses represented in our silent auction, as well as the sponsors who help defer the costs of putting on this event. Thriving businesses and a vital library combine to make Wiscasset a community that attracts and supports its residents.

Tickets are available at the library, so plan ahead for an evening of good food, a fantastic band and a wonderful array of silent auction offerings. See you Labor Day!
