River Arts’ ‘Artist’s Choice’ exhibition opens
River Arts is invites the public to the opening reception of its newest exhibition, “Artists’ Choice” on Friday, Oct. 14 from 5-7 p.m. The exhibition will hang through Nov. 10.
Over 100 Maine artists submitted work for jurying including sculpture, photography, collage, painting, ceramics, fine craft and fiber arts – both representational and abstract.
Landing Gallery owner and artist, Bruce Busko, was the juror for this exhibition. Busko, whose gallery is in Rockland, has a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Pennsylvania State and Masters of Fine Arts in Painting and Print Making from the Pratt Institute. www.LandingArt.com.
Boothbay-Wiscasset-Damariscotta-Bath region artists in the show are: Pamela Riml, Cindy Spencer, Virginia Forrest, Sarah Harvey, Cory Stafford, Polly Steadman, Hannah Ineson, Frieda Hanlon, Jean Harris, Helen Warner, Fran Gay, Carolyn Gabbe.
Also on Friday evening there will be a reception for Ann Cronin’s solo show in the West Gallery. The annual River Arts Fundraising Art Raffle will conclude with the drawing of tickets for the five raffle pieces. There is still time to purchase raffle tickets.
River Arts, located at 241 U.S. Route 1, Damariscotta, is open Tuesday through Saturday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., and Sundays 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Closed on Mondays.
