Sheriff’s report
Sheriff Todd Brackett reports the following:
Alison Cook, 18, of Boothbay was issued three summonses November 29 for Possession of a Usable Amount of Marijuana; Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Illegal Transportation of Liquor by a Minor, on Ocean Point Road, Boothbay, by Deputy Mark Bridgham.
Recent Arrests
Jennifer L. Maskell-Greene, 35, of Nobleboro was arrested November 27 for Violating Condition of Release, on Milky Way Road, Nobleboro, by Deputy Jared Mitkus.
Joseph F. Pinkham, 27, of Boothbay was arrested November 27 for Possessing Sexual Explicit Material of a Minor under 12, of Wiscasset Road, Boothbay, by Det. Scott Hayden.
Recent Accidents
On November 26, an accident occurred on River Road in Dresden involving Elizabeth M. Barnes, 44, of Woolwich. Barnes was operating her 1996 Jeep Grand Cherokee northbound when she maneuvered her vehicle too far to the right on the roadway, causing the passenger side wheels to go over the lip of the black top onto the shoulder of the roadway. As a result, she lost control of her vehicle due to the slippery road conditions and driving too fast for the conditions and traveled off the roadway to the left and into the ditch backwards, hitting an embankment at a private driveway off the road. Major Ken Mason was the investigating officer.
On November 26, an accident occurred on Main Street in Newcastle involving Benjamin Ellinwood, 36, of Newcastle and Stephen M. Phillips, 50, of Damariscotta. Phillips was operating his 2006 Toyota Sienna northbound and struck Ellinwood’s 2008 Chevrolet 2500 in the rear. Deputy Jared Mitkus was the investigating officer.
On November 26, an accident occurred on Wiscasset Road in Whitefield involving Carrie G. Kipfer, 44, of Alna. Kipfer was operating her 2003 Chevrolet Blazer southbound when she began skidding on the snow covered roadway. As a result, her vehicle ran off the roadway on the left side and into a ditch, causing damage to the driver’s side of her vehicle. Det. Scott Hayden was the investigating officer.
On November 26, an accident occurred on Glidden Street in Newcastle involving Kristina S. Mainella, 45, of Nobleboro. Mainella was turning her 2009 Mitsubishi Outlaw right from Stewart Street on to Glidden Street when she slid off the roadway and struck a tree. Deputy Chad Gilbert was the investigating officer.
On November 26, an accident occurred on Post Office Road on Westport Island involving Kendall C. Hanna, 47, of Starks and Mark L. Cromwell, 34, of Westport Island. Hanna was towing a horse trailer with his 2006 Ford F250 and traveling down a steep hill, was unable to negotiate a turn and as a result, collided with Cromwell’s 2001 GMC 3500. Deputy Jared Mitkus was the investigating officer.
On November 26, an accident occurred on Blinn Hill Road in Dresden involving Ross M. Duncan, 18, of Randolph. Duncan was operating his 1996 GMC Sierra northbound when he lost control of his vehicle on the snow covered roadway. As a result, his vehicle went off the roadway and into a ditch. Deputy Kenneth Hatch was the investigating officer.
On November 29, an accident occurred on Route 1 in Newcastle involving Scott P. Stevenson, 51, of Round Pond and Kathryn H. Gosselin, 32, of Topsham. Gosselin was operating her 2002 Ford Escape northbound and was waiting in traffic to make a left hand turn into Mexicali Blues. Stevenson was also traveling northbound in his 2002 Volkswagen Passat and failed to see Gosselin stopped with her left blinker on, waiting in traffic to turn. As a result, Stevenson struck Gosselin’s vehicle in the rear, causing her vehicle to rotate 180 degrees in the roadway where it then traveled down and embankment and struck a tree. Deputy Brian Collamore was the investigating officer.
On December 1, an accident occurred on Boothbay Road in Edgecomb involving William F. Hallinan, 63, of Boothbay Harbor. Hallinan was operating his 2004 Buick westbound and due to the icy road conditions, he lost control of his vehicle and went down an embankment. Deputy Brian Collamore was the investigating officer.
On December 1, an accident occurred on River Road in Edgecomb involving Grace S. Tellefsen, 89, of Southport Island. Tellefsen was operating her 2003 Honda CRV northbound, nearing the intersection of Merry Island Road and rounding a corner. Due to the road being icy and slippery, she lost control of her vehicle, crossed the center line and then over corrected. Her vehicle then rolled over and came to rest on its roof, against some trees. Deputy Brian Collamore was the investigating officer.
