Sweetser opens Belvedere Road, Damariscotta location
Sweetser, a nonprofit mental health organization with locations throughout Maine, has recently moved into a new location at 15 Belvedere Road in Damariscotta.
Services available include adult and child case management, outpatient therapy, medication management and mobile crisis services. Referrals and appointments can be made through the PromiseLine at 1-800-434-3000.
“It’s exciting to be located here in Damariscotta and offering this community easier access to mental health services,” Sweetser clinician and local resident Susan Miner said. “Our Sweetser team brings options and opportunities for people to find the support they may need for themselves or a loved one, and we are here to help.”
Mobile crisis intervention services also operate for Lincoln County out of Sweetser’s Damariscotta location. Mobile crisis clinicians are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and will come to wherever you can be most comfortable during a mental health crisis, offering an alternative to an emergency room or hospitalization.
You can access Mobile Crisis Services by calling the statewide mental health crisis number is 1-888-568-1112.
Since 1828, Sweetser has been providing mental health services to some of Maine’s most vulnerable populations, and these grants allow the organization to move toward a more efficient operation.
Sweetser helps over 20,000 children, adults and families annually, at locations throughout Maine, providing services addressing substance use issues and mental health concerns ranging from depression and anxiety to persons with severe mental illness.
