University of Maine Mid Coast Alumni will “Celebrate Summer” on Saturday, June 9, when they gather at the Boothbay Harbor Yacht Club for dinner and to hear university officials discuss student life on campus.

Sharing their insights are Dr. Robert Dana, vice president for Student Life, and Christopher White, director of the UMaine Marching Band. Yacht Club hosts are Bob, ’70 ’77G, and Lucy Levesque Scribner, ’71.

UMaine alumni and guests are invited to make prepaid reservations by May 30 and may register online at umainealumni.com/celebrate-summer To register by phone, please call the UMaine Alumni Association at 207-581-1146. Dinner choices are haddock or beef at $55 per person. The social hour begins at 5 p.m., with dinner at 6:15 and program at 7:30.

Mid Coast Alumni will begin awarding a $500 annual tuition scholarship to a Midcoast junior or senior, selected by the university Office of Student Financial Aid. Funds raised from a raffle at the dinner will support this scholarship.
