Please join us for Vs.: A Poetry Competition in 2 parts. The competition will be held on Tuesday, Dec. 3 from 4:30 to 6 p.m. at Skidompha Library in Damariscotta. It is open to all ages, 4-104, and registration will be held the day of between 3:45-4:15. The event will be led by Julia Bouwsma, Maine’s Poet Laureate. 

The competition will be split into two parts: original poetry and recitation of favorite poems. Poems chosen for recitation do not need to be memorized. Regardless if it is an original or recitation piece, please bring two copies of your poem with you. Prizes will be given in a variety of categories.
