“Fallen Leaves” - (NR; 1 hour, 21 minutes - in Finnish with English subtitles) - Award-winning filmmaker Aki Kaurismäki (“Le Havre,” “The Other Side of Hope”) makes a masterful return with "Fallen Leaves.” This is a timeless, hopeful, and ultimately satisfying love story about two lonely souls’ path to happiness – and the numerous hurdles they encounter along the way. Winner of the Jury Prize at the 2023 Cannes Film Festival. Final show Thursday, Jan. 11 at 2 p.m.
“A Dancer’s Journey to Live!” - (1 hour, 30 minutes) - A live presentation by Korinn Mowrey. Through storytelling and dance, Korinn shares her life experiences – showing us how we ALL have the magic within us to overcome our addictions and be successful in achieving our dreams. This is a new performance about the art of manifestation through the power of intention, that will uplift, and teach others that no matter what struggles, addictions, or past ghosts may haunt us, we all have the power to succeed! “Ferrari” - (R; 2 hours, 10 minutes) - “Ferrari” is set during the summer of 1957. Behind the spectacle and danger of 1950’s Formula 1, ex-racer, Enzo Ferrari, is in crisis. Bankruptcy stalks the company he and his wife, Laura, built from nothing 10 years earlier. Their tempestuous marriage struggles with the mourning for their one son. Ferrari struggles with the acknowledgement of another. His drivers’ lust to win pushes them out to the edge. He wagers all in a roll of the dice on one race, the treacherous 1,000-mile race across Italy, the iconic Mille Miglia. “Skylight” - National Theater Live - (R; 2 hours, 43 minutes - 1 intermission) - Returning to the big screen after nearly 10 years, Bill Nighy (Living) and Carey Mulligan (Promising Young Woman) feature in the critically acclaimed revival of David Hare’s play, directed by Stephen Daldry (The Audience). On a bitterly cold London evening, schoolteacher Kyra receives an unexpected visit from her former lover. As the evening progresses, the two attempt to rekindle their once passionate relationship only to find themselves locked in a dangerous battle of opposing ideologies and mutual desires. Captured live from Wyndham’s Theatre in London’s West End in 2014.
