What’s Nude In Boothbay Harbor? opens Feb. 14
The Boothbay Region Art Foundation and the Boothbay Harbor Region Chamber of Commerce are proud to present the fourth annual “What’s Nude In Boothbay Harbor?” fine art show opening Friday, Feb. 14. The opening reception will be that evening from 5-7. Admission is free and refreshments will be available.
The show will honor the human form in mediums including painting, photography, and sculpture. There will be many other local artists featured in the show in addition to artists from as far away as Arizona and Florida.
A special feature this year will be the works of Carol Ast of Damariscotta. She has done a series of five pastels describing her feelings about her mastectomy. These were done several years after her surgery and Carol stresses that the sequence is not representative of what all women who undergo this procedure experience. Carol will be at the show and is willing to discuss her paintings and her experience with anyone who is interested.
The show will run for three weeks through Feb. 29. Gallery hours are Thursday through Saturday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
BRAF is pleased to announce that “What’s Nude in Boothbay Harbor?” kicks off a new weekend long event in the Region - For the Love of Beer, Wine and Boutiques!
