Healthy Kids will start an Active Parenting: The First Five Years class on Oct. 26. The class will run four Fridays through Nov. 16 from 1 to 3 p.m. at its office, 15 Belvedere Road, Damariscotta.

This is a class for all parents of children 0-5. The content covered includes: ages and stages of growth, your child’s nature/temperament, parenting styles, feelings and how kids express them, brain development and what children understand, routines and how they help, discipline/tantrums and what to do and social/emotional development.

This class is free and each parent will receive a parent’s guide. Childcare will be provided if requested ahead of time. Call 563-1818 for more information.
