Pat Fry
Pat Fry, 79, passed away peacefully on July 1, 2020 surrounded by her loving family.
Pat was born and raised in Maine, spent many years in Pennsylvania before returning home to be near family. The coast of Maine was rooted in her soul, as a teenager she spent one summer working on Monhegan Island, and as the saying goes, “what happens on Monhegan, stays on Monhegan.” Ocean Point was her favorite place on earth, her strong family ties would bring her to East Boothbay whenever possible. The smell of the ocean, looking for treasures along the shore, and spending time with her family was all she needed. Pat even figured out a way to spend one summer in the area and waitressed at the Ebb Tide restaurant alongside her favorite sister, Lorna.
Pat was predeceased by her husband Paul Fry, and mother Mille and stepfather Jere Coosard of East Boothbay.
She is survived by two sons, Richard Minoty and his wife Michelle of Augusta, Scott Minoty and his wife Carol of Vassalboro; daughter Shannon Kroh and her husband Louis of Pennsylvania; sisters, Lynn Gilley Martin of Southport, Lorna Morse of Florida., Marie Lydecker of Florida and Kathy Getchell of Colorado.
Pat was blessed to have many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, family members, dear friends, and just three weeks ago met her newest great-grandchild.
She loved camping with her sister Lorna Morse (Gene Stover) at Shore Hills Campground and a stop at Bet’s Fish Fry was a must. One of her most memorable vacations was a trip to Siesta Key Florida. with her Mom to visit Marie and her family. Pat had an infectious laugh and her naïve personality provided many hilarious moments and memories that will be shared around a campfire for years. She will be deeply missed by those who were honored to know and love her.
