Maine Fishermen’s Forum announces winners of 47th annual Scholarship
The Board of Directors of the Maine Fishermen’s Forum has announced the winners of the 47th annual Scholarship Drawing! Twenty-three applicants were drawn and given book awards.
The requirements for the scholarship are that the applicant has to be immediately related to someone in Maine’s seafood industry, and at least a sophomore in college.
“Two of the winners were awarded $6,000 each, thanks to a very generous anonymous fisherman who donated $12,000,” said the Fishermen’s Forum, in a news release.

The 2022 Forum scholarship application will be available on the Forum website (www.mainefishermensforum.org) on July 1, 2021. Next year’s scholarship drawing will be held on Saturday, March 5, 2022, “at what we hope to be a live Forum event!” said the Forum.
