Sheriff Todd Brackett reports the following:

Arrests

On June 7, David W. Beaucage Sr., 50, of Newcastle was arrested on three warrants from Presque Isle District Court for FTPF for OAS; FTPF for OUI and Failure to Appear for Aggravated Forgery and OAS, on West Hamlet Road, Newcastle, by Det. Scott Hayden.

On June 9, Megan M. Gornto, 21, of Southport Island was arrested for Domestic Violence Assault, on Cameron’s Point Road, Southport Island, by Deputy Justin Drake.

Traffic citations

On May 31, Michele Wager, 45, of Newcastle – Failing to display a valid inspection sticker – Birch Point Road, Wiscasset – Dep. Todd Chilton.

On June 1, Thomas Seigars, 24, of Westport Island – Failing to use a seat belt – Sheepscot Road, Alna – Dep. Kevin Dennison.

On June 5, Decksz, LLC, of East Boothbay – Failing to display a valid inspection sticker – Route 96, East Boothbay – Sgt. Jason Nein.

Accidents

On June 5, an accident occurred on Main Street in Newcastle involving Amy R. Winston, 44, of Edgecomb and Glenn E. Sandefur, 58, of Bremen. Sandefur, who was operating his 2012 Toyota Camry, was slowed down and attempting to make a right hand turn into the Maritime Farms store parking area and another unknown vehicle was exiting the store parking area. Sandefur stopped to allow the unknown vehicle to exit and Winston, who was operating her 2004 Subaru Forrester, struck Sandefur’s vehicle from behind. Deputy Brian Collamore was the investigating officer.

On June 5, an accident occurred on Main Road on Westport Island involving Nicole Fowler, 26, of Edgecomb and Carol A. Norris, 60, of Westport Island. Norris was operating her 2009 Mini Cooper southbound and Fowler was exiting a parking lot in her 1991 Dodge Spirit and failed to yield the right of way and as a result, struck Norris’ vehicle.

On June 7, an accident occurred on River Road in Newcastle involving Tammy S. Kane, 48, of Boothbay and Harvey L. Oakes, 48, of Boothbay Harbor. Kane was operating her 1998 Chevrolet Blazer northbound when she stated she looked down inside her vehicle and when she looked up, she found her vehicle was over the center line and was unable to avoid striking Oakes’ 2001 Chevrolet Cavalier on the side. Deputy Matthew Day was the investigating officer.

On June 8, an accident occurred on East Shore Road on Westport Island involving Mason G. Bennett-Nein, 21, of Westport Island. Bennett-Nein was operating his 2006 Dodge Ram when he advised he fell asleep. As a result, his vehicle left the roadway and rolled over. Sgt. Alan Shea was the investigating officer.

On June 10, an accident occurred on Corey Lane in Boothbay involving Jane L. Kaler, 36, of Boothbay Harbor and William D. Wilson, 57, of Groveland, N.Y. Kaler was stopped in her 2002 Honda at the Route 27/Corey Lane intersection. Wilson entered the intersection from Route 27, approaching Corey Lane in his 2009 Jeep. Kaler failed to see Wilson’s vehicle and struck it on the driver’s side. Sgt. Jason Nein was the investigating officer.
