Suzi Thayer is the featured artist of May, June
The Southport Memorial Library is pleased to announce a show featuring the art of Suzi Thayer will run from May 3 through June 30.
Thayer will include paintings spanning 20 years, most done plein air in Cushing and Edgecomb. There will also be cards and mounted prints for sale at library show
“I’ve done art in one form or another since I was a kid,” said Thayer, “Graduated from crayons, to charcoal, to pastel, to oil on canvas, to acrylic, and finally settled on watercolor. After working for newspapers, in graphics for 35 years, and eventually switching to writing, for the Boothbay Register, Wiscasset Newspaper, and Lincoln County News, I retired to concentrate on my art, and have been focusing on that alone for three years.”
Thayer also has an Etsy site (SThayerART), https://tinyurl.com/34ftjrh4. Comments from Thayer fans who found her there: “Exquisite artwork...excellent customer service...super quality notecards. One of the best purchases I've made;” “Beautifully done, and true to the place. Suzi Thayer does lovely work!”
“I recently made the decision to stop selling notecards and prints and put all my energy toward painting,” Thayer said.
An hour later, Thayer received a large order from Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens for cards to be offered there this summer.
Thayer says she will also have cards and mounted prints for sale at her Southport Memorial Library show. For more about this colorful artist, visit https://sthayerart.com.
