“Fire of Love” - (PG; 1 hour, 33 minutes) -  “Fire of Love” tells the story of two French lovers, Katia and Maurice Krafft, who died in a volcanic explosion doing the very thing that brought them together: unraveling the mysteries of our planet, while simultaneously capturing the most explosive volcano imagery ever recorded. Along the way, they changed our understanding of the natural world, and saved tens of thousands of lives. Previously unseen hours of pristine 16-millimeter film and thousands of photographs reveal the birth of modern volcanology through an unlikely lens — the love of its two pioneers. “Straight Line Crazy” - National Theatre Live - (R; 3 hours) - Broadcast live from the Bridge Theatre in London, Nicholas Hytner directs this exhilarating new play. Ralph Fiennes (Antony & Cleopatra) leads the cast in David Hare’s (Skylight) blazing account of the most powerful man in New York, a master manipulator whose legacy changed the city forever. For 40 uninterrupted years, Robert Moses exploited those in office through a mix of charm and intimidation. Motivated at first by a determination to improve the lives of New York City’s workers, he created parks, bridges and 627 miles of expressway to connect the people to the great outdoors. Faced with resistance by protest groups campaigning for a very different idea of what the city should become, will the weakness of democracy be exposed in the face of his charismatic conviction? “The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (abridged)” - A River Company production -  An irreverent, fast-paced romp through the Bard’s plays, The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (abridged) was London’s longest-running comedy having clocked a very palpable nine years in London’s West End at the Criterion Theatre! Join these madcap people in tights as they weave their wicked way through all of Shakespeare’s Comedies, Histories and Tragedies in one wild ride that will leave you breathless and helpless with laughter. “This trio masterfully presents all 37 of the Bard’s plays and sonnets and performs over 100 characters in 97 minutes. It’s clever, brilliant, really fast-paced and hysterically entertaining; there are even audience participation bits. It’s Mad Fun!” (Lisa Kristoff; Boothbay Register). Directed by Nick Azzaretti, and starring Emily Sue Barker, Soren Barker, and Roosevelt Bishop. “The Good Boss” - (NR; 2 hours, In Spanish with English subtitles) - Básculas Blanco, a Spanish company producing industrial scales in a provincial Spanish town, awaits the imminent visit from a committee which holds its fate in their hands as to whether they merit a local Business Excellence award. Everything has to be perfect when the time comes. Working against the clock, the company’s proprietor, Blanco (Javier Bardem) pulls out all the stops to address and resolve issues with his employees, crossing every imaginable line in the process. Playing Saturday, Sept. 24 at 7 p.m,; Sunday, Sept. 25 at 2 p.m.; Wednesday, Sept. 28 at 2 and 7 p.m. and Thursday, Sept. 29 at 2 p.m.
