Dear Editor:

I first met Les through his Old Class house, which was both informative and delightful, and over the months of our class I’ve been impressed with his depth of knowledge across a wide breadth of topics: historic New England architecture, of course, but also public policy, healthcare, affairs of state and the world. Les has a curious mind and loves to create ingenious solutions to puzzling problems: what better skill could we ask for in a Maine state legislator?

Les is passionate about providing affordable, accessible, high quality healthcare to all Mainers, and on this point we are in total agreement. It’s not every day that a dyed-in-the-wool New England Democrat endorses the former chair of the Lincoln County Republicans, but that’s the great thing about Les: he puts policy, and the good of all Mainers, ahead of party every time.
