Climate change is an urgent issue
Dear Editor:
Climate change is a priority issue for me – and for all of us. It is not only a quality of life issue but an economic issue. If we do not address climate change urgently, irreparable harm will be done to three of the most important ways of earning a living in Lincoln County (and the whole state): fisheries, agriculture and tourism.
We cannot afford to wait for big business and politicians are not moving fast enough. Someone recently asked me if there is an issue that I think the left and the right could work together on. I think climate change is that issue. It is becoming clear to even the deniers that something has to be done now.
Cameron Reny will act on climate science while bringing diverse stakeholders to the table. I intend to vote for Cam and I hope you will, too.
