Maine Art Gallery celebrates its 65th Anniversary season
Ever since its founding in 1958, the non-profit Maine Art Gallery has pursued its mission to advance the visual arts through exhibitions and educational programs. The 2023 season includes an exceptionally fine schedule of exhibits and classes that were designed to fulfill the organization’s vision of becoming a premier center for showcasing Maine art.
The 2023 schedule includes six shows and twelve diverse art classes from April through October. Each show will have a lively opening event, and many will offer special free lectures. Please visit www.maineartgallerywiscasset.org for complete details.
The season opens with the "Wiscasset Student Show" April 15- 30. This is followed by a very special 65th anniversary exhibit, "Generations," that includes art by some of the gallery’s founding artists alongside a curated exhibit of contemporary art, May 4 - June 10.
