Coastal Rivers to host Community Climate Conversation
On June 28 from 5 to 6:30 p.m., Coastal Rivers Conservation Trust will host a Community Climate Conversation at the Denny Conservation and Education Center at Round Top Farm in Damariscotta.
Changes in weather patterns and seasonal timing are affecting our region in many ways, and have an impact on infrastructure, human health, area ecology, and natural resources, to name a few. The goal of the conversation on June 28 is to cultivate a shared understanding of community members’ hopes and concerns, as well as to generate ideas for how individuals and organizations in our area can best support local climate resilience.
In small groups, participants will have the opportunity to discuss their concerns about changes they are seeing as well as their ideas and hopes for the future. Discussions will center around human health, our local communities, the economy, natural resources, and area ecology.
This conversation is part of Coastal Rivers’ ongoing work to confront climate change.
There is no cost to attend this event. Registration is required at coastalrivers.org/events.
