Veggies to Table holds auction fundraiser at Bigelow Laboratory
Summer is the season of events, galas, and get-togethers here in Maine. One of these events was Newcastle nonprofit Veggies to Table’s “Dîner en Blanc” Auction Fundraiser on Sunday, Aug. 11.
Erica Berman, founder and executive director, announced that the event raised $187,695. “The funds raised at our auction will go straight back into our programming and to paying our team to keep growing top-quality organic produce and flowers to donate to those living with hunger in our community,” she said.

The event space was generously donated by Bigelow Laboratory for Ocean Sciences in East Boothbay, and Brook Hazelton, former Christie’s President for the Americas, volunteered his time as auctioneer. This event was made possible with the support of many volunteers, donors, local businesses, and sponsors.
