A Bath engineering firm will design a fix for Alna's North Old Sheepscot Road.

Selectmen have hired Pine Tree Engineering for $5,450, town officials said.

The road has a trouble spot where one side is getting closer to the edge of a deep ravine. The work may be more involved and more expensive than it first appeared to be, First Selectman David Abbott said October 4.

Delay for Wiscasset trash deal

Selectmen put off signing the next year's contract to use the Wiscasset Transfer Station, Abbott said.

The deal was missing the list of fees for tires and certain other items, Abbott said.

At $70,366, the contract is about flat with last year's, Alna officials said.
