Sheriff’s report
Sheriff Todd Brackett reports the following:
On October 5, Reserve Deputy Richard Woodward was dispatched to a report of criminal mischief to a rear glass window on a storm door (value, $270) in the Boothbay area. The complainant stated that the glass was broken by a rock thrown through it. Investigation will remain open until further information develops.
On October 6, Reserve Deputy Neil Genthner was dispatched to a report of criminal mischief to a cement pumpkin (value, $25) in the Southport area. The complainant stated that someone had shot at his Halloween decoration with a gun. A spent shotgun shell was found next to the pumpkin. Further investigation to follow if leads develop.
Recent Arrests
On October 3, Jeremy J. Geroux, 35, of Wiscasset was arrested for unlawful possession of scheduled drug, eluding an officer, driving to endanger and operating mv while license is suspended or revoked – prior, on Bradford Road, Wiscasset, by Det. Scott Hayden, who was assisted by Det. Terry Michaud. While at TBRJ, it was discovered Geroux had a warrant out of Rhode Island as a fugitive from justice for a commercial fishing violation, so he was also arrested on the outstanding warrant.
On October 5, Justin D. Hart, 26, of Whitefield was arrested on a warrant out of Augusta police department for refusing to submit to arrest or detention, at Two Bridges Regional Jail, Wiscasset, by Reserve Deputy Richard Woodward.
Recent Accidents
On October 6, an accident occurred on Wiscasset Road in Boothbay involving Alison M. Cook, 18, of East Boothbay and Karen B. Conniff, 61, of Old Lyme, Conn. Cook drove her 2004 GMC Envoy into Ms. Conniff’s 2011 Subaru Outback as it was parked in the Clipper Mart parking lot. Reserve Deputy Richard Woodward was the investigating officer.
On October 7, an accident occurred on Country Club Road in Boothbay involving Luzelena Bliss, 72, of Boothbay Harbor and Phillip Noonan, 51, of Francestown, N.H. Bliss was pulling into a parking spot in her 2003 Oldsmobile Alero when Noonan began backing up in his 2004 Ford F-250 pickup. Prior to Noonan backing up, he did not see a vehicle and upon starting to back up, Bliss’ vehicle appeared and he made contact. Reserve Deputy Richard Woodward was the investigating officer.
