Wiscasset Police Chief Troy A. Cline reported that on October 10, Wiscasset police, along with Wiscasset Ambulance personnel, responded to Sheepscot Bay Apartments.

It was reported that there was a 20-year-old unresponsive male subject at that location. Officer “Willy” Simmons was the first officer on scene and attempted CPR on the male.

The male was subsequently transported to Miles Memorial Hospital in Damariscotta where he was pronounced dead.

The Wiscasset Police Department and Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office detectives are investigating into the cause of death.

No further information will be released pending the outcome of this investigation.
