Mission #4: Local Love – Championing Our Hospitality Heroes

Publish Date not available.

The Boothbay Harbor Region is known for its breathtaking coastal beauty, charming inns, and one-of-a-kind experiences that keep visitors coming back year after year. But what truly makes a trip unforgettable? It’s the people—the warm, welcoming hospitality heroes who go above and beyond to make every stay and excursion special.

For Week #4 of Mission: Local Love, we’re celebrating the innkeepers, B&B hosts, hoteliers, tour guides, and adventure operators who make the Boothbay Harbor Region experience truly magical. Whether they’re offering a cozy retreat after a long day of exploring, leading a thrilling fishing trip, or sharing local lore on a walking tour, these hospitality pros are the heart and soul of our region’s tourism industry.

A Warm Welcome, Every Time

From historic inns to oceanfront resorts, our region's hospitality industry is built on genuine care and personalized service. The innkeepers and B&B hosts who greet guests with a smile, share the best local recommendations, and make visitors feel at home play a huge role in creating memorable stays. Their attention to detail—from fresh-baked scones in the morning to handwritten welcome notes—makes all the difference.

Beyond where you stay, it’s the experiences that make a visit to Boothbay Harbor truly special.

Local captains lead whale-watching cruises, deep-sea fishing charters, and scenic boat tours that showcase our stunning coastline. Foodie tours introduce guests to the best local flavors, while art walks and cultural excursions highlight the incredible talent that thrives in our community. These guides and operators don’t just provide a service—they create lifelong memories.

As part of Mission: Local Love, we encourage everyone to take a moment to recognize these incredible hospitality heroes by leaving a review, posting a social media shoutout, or simply saying “thank you” to the people who made their stay or experience so special. A heartfelt review not only boosts a business’s reputation but also lets these hardworking individuals know their efforts are truly appreciated.

Mission Accomplished—But the Love Continues!

With this final week of our February Challenge -  Mission: Local Love comes to a close—but that doesn’t mean the appreciation has to stop!
Over the past month, we’ve celebrated local restaurants, service providers, shopkeepers, and now, our incredible hospitality heroes. Your reviews, kind words, and support have made a real impact, and we hope the spirit of Local Love continues all year long.

To everyone who participated—thank you! Whether you left a review, shared a favorite business on social media, or simply took the time to say “thanks,” you helped uplift the hardworking people who make the Boothbay Harbor Region such a special place.

Let’s keep the love going, one small act of kindness at a time!
