A chimney fire at a home on Westport Island’s Main Road brought out crews from that town’s fire department and Wiscasset’s on February 26. The fire was reported at about 4:30 p.m., Westport Island firefighter Jason Abbott said.

The fire did not spread beyond the chimney, Abbott said. Firefighters put out the fire and left the scene at about 6 p.m., he said.
