Injured motorcyclist in ‘good’ condition
A motorcyclist injured in a head-on crash in Alna on June 8 was listed in ‘good’ condition on June 10 at Central Maine Medical Center, a spokesman for the Lewiston hospital said.
Carl Cooke, 55, of Belgrade had been listed in fair condition June 9. Authorities have said he was riding a Harley Davidson northbound on Route 218 near West Alna Road when the motorcycle entered a curve, crossed into the southbound lane and collided with a delivery-type vehicle that Steven Frey, 59, of Newcastle was driving. Frey and a passenger received minor injuries, according to a Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office press release.
